We like to top off every reading we do with a stellar Q&A. Last time around it was major American playwright Philip Kan Gotanda sitting down with future major American playwright Amma Ghartey-Tagoe Kootin to talk about AT BUFFALO. This time around we’re bringing a new friend from That Other Place to Berkeley to chat with Krista Knight about UNTITLED TEEN HOSPICE PLAY. Get excited to meet Joy Brooke Fairfield!
Joy is a director, dramaturg and contemporary performance deviser based in San Francisco. She is a PhD candidate in Theatre and Performance Studies at Stanford University where she researches queer performance and intimate spectatorship. Recent original works created in collaboration include Pastoral/Posthuman (a sunrise performance hike) and The Isle of Noises: A Metaphonic Exposition on the Dissonance and Harmony of Progress within Human Life and Thought (a performance party). Previous collaborations with Krista Knight include staged readings of Unhinged: A Silent Opera and Doomsurfing and she looks forward to more.
